The composition is for three parts, designed to be performed together (live or using accompaniment tracks):

• Part A - bells/chimes 2-3 octaves or keyboard, Level 2
• Part B - bells 4-5 octaves or keyboard, Level 3
• Part C - bells 5-7 octaves or piano four-hands, Level 4
• A full score is available (BFX-013F) containing Parts A, B, and C
• An accompaniment track is available (BFX-013T) containing Parts A, B, C, AB, AC, and BC

The "melody" is a four-note pattern consisting of E, A, E, and F as demonstrated by the first four notes. The tricky but fun thing about using this pattern is that each beat consists of three eighth notes, although the pattern has four notes. Therefore the "melody" wraps and loops around the rhythms until it starts again on a beat (usually on beat one of a measure).

This piece was commissioned by AGEHR Area XII for their June 1998 Ringers Conference in Visalia, California. It was premiered there under the baton of the composer William Payn, and performed by 450 ringers.
