Cheryl Baker has been ringing
handbells since 1972, and directing since 1977. She holds a Bachelors of
Music degree in Church Music from Westminster Choir College (Princeton NJ),
with her principle instrument as voice and a minor in organ. She plays many
instruments, including violin, piano, recorder, guitar, and solo handbells.
Cheryl is an accomplished choral, handbell, and orchestral conductor, as
well as a composer and handbell clinician. She is published with National
Music Publishers, Hinshaw, and is proprietor of Bronze:FX. She has served
on the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers' Area XII Board since
1990 as Secretary, Newsletter Editor, Conference Chairman, and currently
as Chairman-Elect. She has had several articles published in the AGEHR magazine
"Overtones." Cheryl and her husband Cris and children Kimberley
and Kevin live in Grass Valley, California.
